Senegal
Our solar projects in Senegal provide clean energy, decreasing dependence on diesel generators and lowering carbon emissions. They play a key role in promoting sustainability and energy efficiency, supporting Senegal’s energy transition goals while delivering a reliable and affordable power source for rural economic growth.
Status: In operation
The Gade Gui Solar Plant is a 400 kWp off-grid photovoltaic system commissioned in October 2024. The installation supplies clean and reliable power to poultry farming and food-processing facilities in Senegal, reducing dependence on diesel generators and lowering operational CO₂ emissions.
This project increases energy security for the site while supporting local agricultural productivity.
Couvoir Amar (C&I Project)
Status: In operation
The Couvoir Amar Solar Plant consists of a 220 kWp photovoltaic system designed to provide clean, renewable electricity to a large poultry production facility in Senegal. The installation is expected to supply up to 60% of the site’s annual energy demand, significantly reducing energy costs and environmental impact.
The system was commissioned in February 2025.
Status: Under construction
The Much Cooler Podor Project consists of a solar-powered refrigeration system designed to provide reliable cold storage for milk, onions, and potatoes produced by local farmers in the Podor region of Senegal. Powered by an on-site photovoltaic installation, the system will stabilize product quality, reduce post-harvest losses, and strengthen the local agricultural value chain.
Farmers are a central stakeholder, as the project directly supports their economic resilience and offers a sustainable alternative to diesel-based cold storage. By improving storage conditions and extending shelf life, the project contributes to higher market value and reduced waste.
The system will be commissioned in Q1 2026.
