We're pleased to share that construction is set to begin on the Neppathur Solar Power Plant in India (Tamil Nadu), signaling a positive step toward sustainable energy. On December 1st, we initiate the first stage of this project, with Shiroi Energy leading the installation of a 10 MWp AgriPV system. Looking ahead to 2024, our plans include expanding the plant's capacity to 50 MWp. The first 10 MWp is expected to start operations in April 2024, contributing to India's renewable energy landscape.

At Voltares, we believe in a dual harvest—both solar power and agricultural products. Recognizing the value of land, we're committed to maximizing its use. That's why we're partnering with local farmers to cultivate peanuts beneath the solar panels. We envision a future where the Neppathur Solar Plant not only powers industries but also supports local agriculture, symbolizing our commitment to "harvest twice“.

Our journey doesn't stop there. Voltares aims to become a significant player in the AgriPV sector in India, introducing sustainable solutions that seamlessly integrate energy and agriculture. Moreover, the Neppathur Solar Plant isn't just about energy—it's about forging partnerships. We're set to deliver clean energy to commercial and industrial clients through corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), contributing to the reduction of their carbon footprint. Join us on this journey toward a greener and more sustainable future.

Together, let's power progress, cultivate growth, and redefine the possibilities of clean energy in India.
